Sonal Desai
Ms. Sonal Desai is a Non-Executive Independent Director of our company. Currently she is working as Executive Director at Sushrut Hospital (a 100 bedded Charitable Trust Hospital). She is also an advisor to Prashanti Medical Trust (Sathya Sai Hospital). Prior to this she was working with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) as Executive Director-Refinery Finance with additional responsibility of Head-Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Her vast experience of 33 years comprised of handling not only pure finance and accounting functions but also commercial and embedded functions, which resulted in rare blend of leadership experience and functional competency. Her assignments provided her unique experience and expertise in business areas such as Marketing, Operations, Projects and Refineries Management. A Qualified Chartered Accountant with an Executive Diploma in Hospital Administration from TISS, Ms. Desai is an international conference speaker and has addressed gatherings of various CxOs in UK, India and Europe.

Ashok Pavadia
An academician, bureaucrat, author, and management expert, Ashok Pavadia is the Founder Director of the ‘Council for Research on Policy and Governance’. He sits on the Governing Board of the Registered Valuers Organization of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is the Chief Advisor to the Chanakya School of Public Policy and Management, Malla Reddy University, and is also the Principal and Strategy Advisor to the Board of several companies. Starting his career as a Lecturer at the University of Delhi, he later joined the bureaucracy and held important positions in several Ministries in the Government of India, like Railways, Civil Aviation, Agriculture, Chemicals & Fertilizers, Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises; his last assignment being Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He has served as the Private Secretary to two Union Ministers.
An alumnus of the University of London (LSE), Harvard University (Kennedy school), the Royal Institute of Public Administration (UK), University of Delhi (Hindu College), and the Indian Law Institute, Delhi. His expertise is in Corporate Governance, Sustainable Development, and CSR and his research work in these subjects spans over a decade. He has been on the Governmental Advisory Group of GRI (Amsterdam) and the Governing Council of the Institute of Public Enterprise (Hyderabad). He has done pioneering work in the propagation and evolution of the concept of CSR in the country and is the author of the ‘Guidelines on CSR and Sustainability’ for Central PSUs issued by the Department of Public Enterprise.

Binali Suhandani
Binali Suhandani brings nearly 25 years’ experience as a senior leader within the Philanthropy and Impact sector. From her role as a change agent to her uncanny ability to identify risks, Binali has been able to help institutions in their crucial start-up and take off phase, formulate strategies, train, and retain large teams, raise philanthropic and impact capital, devise marketing and brand strategies.
One of Binali’s strengths lies in her ability to thrive well under high-pressure situations, both professionally and personally. She also brings her strong belief of promoting Gender lens investing, women entrepreneurship for vulnerable communities residing in Tier II, III, IV cities and towns of India. Binali got her career start in Ahmedabad, India in 1998 where she joined the FWWB under the care of Dr Vijayalaxmi Das and Elaben Bhatt, two stalwarts in the world of Microfinance. She’s served leadership positions in Sense International, Akshaya Patra Foundation, Tata Trusts and AVPN – all of these resulting in making her more human, resilient and optimistic.
